    An electronic device that can analyze the density and color balance of a color negative. All color analyzers contain three basic components: a probe, the small-aperture attachment you place on your easel to collect information about your negative or slide; an electronic memory and its associated circuitry (the brains of the analyzer), which remembers the information gathered by the probe; and a meter, which allows you to read this information.
