Vintage Toboggan Aluminum Metal Snow Sled Downhill Sliding Sledding Canada 5 ft.
This is a beauty and easily brings many of us back to our childhood days. Natural color aluminum toboggan with strengthening wooden cross members and built-in runners. Durable and built to take a lot of rough wear.  Measures approximately 13" wide x 5 ft. long.
The brand is Telstar manufactured in Canada by Barrie Corporation.  Unfortunately, I can't clearly identify the city/town due to the fact the brand label is pretty tattered.  The original owner said he purchased this for his daughters and he guessed maybe 60 years ago.  Research has proven it difficult to even find toboggan's like this.
This toboggan is in excellent condition for its vintage age.  Rope appears to be original.  There are only a few very small dents.  It lays nice and flat on a floor surface.  As you can see in the photo the front curved part of the toboggan is somewhat tilted.  I will leave it up to the buyer to easily straighten as I did not want to harm the original ropes.  There is some barn red paint spattered in places.  You have to look very closely for rust around the screw heads on the bottom.  Overall great condition!  Could be some signs of scratches, nicks, etc., which makes sense for its age.
